A Preposterous Way

Selfishness and stolidity and egoism
They are not real
Adamantly wo go
Take another step towards our archaic role
Heading for more - more and more
Keep on heading, anymore
Keep on aspiring towards the destionation of success.

Whoever told us this fairy tale a lie
About the ways we have to choose
Unconscious of consequences
We gladly oust the truth
Proud and arrogant we observe
Our masterpiece and everything we reached
But like on an anfractuous path in the night
We were never running right.

Well, we got so many things
It's unthinkable
That we really need anymore
But starnge, we will take much more
And won't change a thing
And won't realize by reasons that we're scarred
We could interrupt
our brilliant perfect dream
Of insouciance and artlessness
How could we believe
That there isn't anyone
Who will always pay the price?

Maybe - You tend to close your eyes
Maybe - You do not dare to see it right
Maybe - You are blinkered by your life
Maybe - You are the one who stops and asks "why"

Maybe you're the one who sees it clearly
Maybe you're the one who understands
The one who makes a difference
Possibly, you are not the one.
