Dawn... Sons Of Death

As blades this air, rips upon my skin
The cold hush that’s fallen here
Belies the coming flames
Of battle’s fire, from within
Soon to rise, soon unleashed
As morning’s light takes hold
We loose our frenzied cries!

Echoes! Of life resound
Upon this battleground
Massacre, slaughter, no mercy
Shall be found.

Borne on wings of unbound rage
Too long repressed
Too long restrained
We sons of death
Arrive to slaughter
No man shall be saved
In ecstasy, this savagery
Delivered uninhibited
For what is best in life
Is surely to destroy!

With ragged breath i turn
Upon this field where battle wanes
A sea of ruined flesh
Annoints the fouled soil
Trembling, still, as final calm
Descends upon these wretched slain
This expanse once ashen, bare
Now adorned in violent shades of death!

The screams of vanquished men
Their cries of desperate fear
Endless, once, they bathed the land
Yet even now they fade
As fury dies, behind it leaves
A yearning hunger, unappeased
How many lives must i claim
To fill this growing emptiness?
