See gold sun rise
Grounded
By weight and form so real
Longing to break from this sphere
So hateful
Warfare
Our nation writhes corrupted
Wracked
With strain
Of pointless conflict
Science
A path to stars we've charted
Skyward distraction
Of aging dreamers
Hopeless
Spend your days so idle
Search for purpose in dissolution
She speaks tongues of god
My whiskey haze
