When twilight cloaks the world
Clad for battle they approach
In stealth they lurk and wait
To gain the master's golden hoard
The craftsman comes home from the hunt
And lays down his sword and head
From the shadows they arise
And to the king's hall the captured take.

The wooden hall, the warriors' home
Majestically commands the hills
Sign of wealth and fortitude
The hall's alight with flickering fire
The king and queen on oaken thrones
The captured smith is made to kneel
To swear his servitude.
