Lair (Of The Wendol)

My journeys bring me to this land
Where ghastly beasts are still believed to roam
Ride in secrecy through the night
Banished here to roam these hidden lands.

Black mist in the night
Gives birth to my fears
Dreams awash in obscene
Horrors beyond my belief.

The mist falls down the mountainside and with it brings a fear of unknown
Darkness protects the beasts and give them life
Behind the clouds, with eyes ablaze, upon their steeds they ride
In chaos their deadly strike shall come tonight
I lay in wait, with frozen eyes, for their stench invades this land
Silence invades my thoughts and steals my mind
I hear their yells, the pounding hooves, comes riding down upon us now
Defend defend this land until our deaths.

The morning comes and with it brings the evidence of war
Bodies strewn amongst the carnage here
Our numbers now have taken a loss, we fight with fewer men tonight
When Korgon the glowworm bears its eyes
It comes from high, above the seas, from darkened caves, on beaten cliffs
Where we soon shall ride to face our foe
But first we stop, to stock supplies, and gather daggers of magic
From the council of the dwarves.

Then we shall journey to the caves of thunder
To kill the mother Wendol
Descend down above the caves
Toward the entrance of darkness
To find the heart of the beast
Who gave birth to these monsters
My dagger finds its mark
The screams they fill my ears
The creature has fallen now
these lands shall, shall live.
