I cannot shake the feeling that none of this is real
Is this some kind of dream?
I cannot focus; my mind is a blur
Drifting away.

Floating, falling into space
Soaring, spinning far away.

My heart is racing as the world begins to crack
Bleeding colours that i've never seen
Another time, another space outside our own
Which one is real?

Wake me up to a world i know.

This world seems so very real
Has my whole life just been a lie?

A world of steel
And twisted pathways
No signs of life
Am i alone?
I hear the buzzing
Of strange machines
Cables and wires
Hooked into me.

A glowing screen
Prints out my name
Then in a bold font

I could not bear the fact that i'm the last survivor
Of the great human race
I wrote a program to help me endure
As i slowly drift away into oblivion.

Suddenly a thought struck my mind
Could this be another lie?
Maybe somewhere someone like me
Softly lies dreaming vividly.

Maybe this fantasy
Is just a tiny piece
Of something huge; a multiverse
I want to know for sure
Yet i'm afraid to go
What if it ends in eigengrau?

Does it really matter?
