No Angel's Face

In my dazed and riddled mind
I found what darkness could not hide
In a blurred and misty place
I have found the way out of this maze.

Searching for a ray of light
In the land of no delight
I thought I heard her voice at last
could it be a memory from the past.

Come take my hand
Come walk with me
My humble spirit longs to be free.

And then I felt a warm embrace of a lady in white lace
Could my mind play wicked games, is this the angel's face?

I found what death can't do apart
She keeps returning in my dreams
What if it is more than it seems?

I wish one day I'll find the strength
And follow her in my dream's depths
Until this day i will pretend
And live a dream that will never end.

Tightly grip the hand she offers seems to ease the pain she suffers.

Then I felt a cold embrace
Now I'm forever in her place
Doesn't seem so warm and bright
Now I'm begging for a beam of light.

And forever I'm condemned
to a nightmare without end
Endlessly I'm trapped inside
a world I have created in my mind.
