A Shipboard Romance from Capetown to Cairo
Born on the sea where memories stay
And though he was from England she from Germany
War was still far away.

They hit a bad storm off the couast to Mombasa
Battered and bruised the ship carried on
When he held her and told her that all will be well
She knew that he was The One.

He gave her a gift of a beautiful diamond

At the end of the journey tears goodbye

When he saw in the paper a valuable diamond for sale
So he went to the place in Holland
