The Sovereign

Heavy steps of men, boiling with
Conviction slowly they moved through
The woods with the will to fight
Engraved in their minds bodies that
Seemed too weak, completely covered in
Burning devotion.

Rows of reeds looking down
Singing the hymns to them
As the universe hailed them
With infinite regard.

As the end of the journey was
Claimed, as the hill stood proudly before
Them, as though it was unreachable
Indestructible, as though it was
Invincible.

Wrath boiled within them, as thеy glorify the giant
And memories of thе past, flashed before their eyes
The mighty giant, they must reach, and so they
Shall reclaim.

The ringing of bullets heard from afar, welcoming
Their ambush, but with their spirit, they overcame everything
The hill had been reached, the mighty
Giant
Looking like it was bowing, before the sons of the motherland
With a tinge of remaining sadness.

For whoever so wished
To be one with the giant
Would not be one without pain
But they reached what they had hoped for
And embraced the giant, they did
Ready to become one.

One of the men broke his silence
"Look! feel, inhale
This very scent of spirit!
For that giant before you is our final place where we shall be one with the motherland.
