Thirst

Locked inside my neural cage
Embracing toxic doubts
Servant to the tyrant age
From birth you hear the shouts.

Monolithic rulers guide me
Free but yet a slave
Already my thoughts have died
But no one sees a grave.

In the shadows the voices are heard
As they want you to kneel
In the open the visions are blurred
As they want you to feel, the thirst.

In my mind
How could it be that i'm the only one
To fall victim, to this curse!
That keeps me blind
It could not be that i am all alone
What do i have to give
To quench this thirst.

Flawed to always crave, for more
Weakened by the knowledge that i seek, to hoard.

Grasping at the straws, i see
The cogs that make me part of this machine.
