Unending Power

He moves with singular purpose
He walks through the cold stone
Hideous betrayal, the innocent slaughtered
No mercy, no remorse,
He spits - on the corpses
Within this ancient temple
Children impaled, no one is spared, no price is too great.

Screeching in terror, fleeing footsteps
No one escapes, no one survives.

He embodies a wretched evil
Long forgotten, forbidden name
Fire for blood, a power so endless
The sacrificial soul tears itself apart
Precious life is traded, victims of the void
He feels righteous in the darkness
And nothing can stop the night.

Feeding on fear, feeding on anguish
Engorging his power, mindless slaughter.

Corruption fills his mind with hate
All along this was his fate
Insolent apostasy
Blasphemes the great prophecy.
