Worldreaver's Cry

The lightning rips the skies
As powerful foes collide.
The oceans boil and writhe
With the rage of warring gods.
The mortals are forgotten
As the ground falls away
The moon is turning red
As the firmament ignites.

This war between gods has extinguished our flames
The torches we lighted, proclaiming their names
Gone is the peace where we prospered and grew
Now the gods' selfishness finally shines through
Here echoes the death of the worldreaver's cry
The wasteland unseen by the lords in the sky
For I am no master, I am no god
But I have seen what their omniscience has not
Call me a heathen, I'd rather be slain
Than stand by the gods that have caused me this pain.
These lands are now empty of life and of light
They struggle to prove who has the more might.
I fought for and bowed to these bringers of truth
The cyclone of battle may finally prove
That they are not timeless, they do not deserve
The blood that's been shed by mortality.

The wasteland of their battles
Grew with every passing day
The forests that always stood
Were torn from the ground
An earth of ending lights
And a sky darker than dreams
The great heavens were shattered
By the war of an aeon.

Fire engulfs the raging seas, pantheons in endless war
Mortals scream their dying pleas, blood swallows the shores
The light is fading from the stars, chaos claims the land
The sky is dying, they have no remorse.

I am the power that can crush yours
The sun has set upon your days
Your reign will perish with your mind
My victory will be attained
Today we dance with flames
Until the aether is scorched and black
If great death fell to mortals, what hope is there for you?

The lands that we've walked and held are now sown by fire
The light of day disfigured, pure night's kiss is taken
Nowhere to flee as our earth is tortured by its protectors
Ritual flames are smothered by celestial darkness.

My bitter rivals will suffer at my hands
I will bury their every descendant.
