About Fangs And Feathers

O great raven in the sky
Guided by thy will shalt fly
Higher and higher with no obstruction
What injustice thou imply
How am i taunted by thy cry
Can't you see the glory of thy creation.

Look at you great wolf
Your eyes tell me there's nothing you fear
Wanna be like you
And not the poor bird that i am.

And when thou spread these wings and fade from my eyes
My mind journeys forth
If i had those wings i would conquer the sky
And be bound by nothing more.

Now hear the wolf sadly howl
Obsessed with the desire to fly
So far out of reach seems his goal
The tears in his eyes will not dry
And thus goes the fable of raven and wolf
Never seeing though each others' eyes
When the wolf seeks the sky and the raven the earth
Only death is the fate to us all.

Let thy fangs be thy beak
Let thy claws be feathers and wings
May howl equal shriek
Ringing through the night
The raven will be hunting prey
On blood pieces he shall feed
The wolf high in his nest may bread
Spreading its wings and then fly.

Feal the urge that takes you higher
Satisfying for a while
Running dry of thy desire
'Cause in time it will seem vile.

Lone wolf in silent night
Silhouette against the moon
Cloaks itself in silence but soon
The forest is filled with his saddened cry.

I wish i never would have changed
Oh give back my beak and wings
Have my foolish wish exchanged
And again i could fly
Now that my freedom is gone
Listen how the clock of time rings
My path still seems so long
But i will stay wolf till i die.
