Across The Waves

Behold the ships of might and doom
As they cross the ring of the land
Raging on across the waves
Through thunder and darkness they fare.

They sail across the vast open seas
To conquer the lands beyond the mist
Towards the west the ships of war sail
Seeking the kingdoms of legends and gold.

Shrouded in mystery these islands do beckon those hungry for the spoils of war
Great warriors from a land far in the north
Have heard tales of riches and wealth.

For all this we have heard of this mighty land
Of dragons and druids
Of valleys and streams
Far to the west we must sail to plunder and pillage to burn and destroy.

Fire!

As fire rains down from the sky and burns all in its path
And death and destruction ravage the land
The hands of doom shall reap the harvest of blood.

Swords held fast, archer’s eyes keen
May your arrows strike true and your blades strike clean
Blood paints the ground as the sound of steel echoes for miles around.

A chorus of agony, pain and death soars through the air as arrows fly
These warriors of this island, hardened they are, do not seem afraid to die.

As the battle raged on more were put to the sword and all hope for the invaders had died
Our defences are strong, our hearts are true and our warriors are both fearless and brave
Today is the day our enemies shall fall by axe, by arrow, by blade!
Now victorious they stand, these warriors of old, on these ancient islands eternal.
