Once it came
A sheet of white death from the skies
Once it came
This snow, now our grave.

Even from the ashes of mind
One shall rise anew
Through this land of snow and ice
Life will find a way.

For a long time we waited for the winter
In the shades of a black sky's arc
Our blood froze solid in our veins
As we wandered, blinded by the dark.

The snow set, the winter came
Upon the icy earth
Painted with ice, sorrow and pain
A black mark in my heart.

Once it came

Time after time, only snow in the ground
Will there once be a tomorrow?
A black sky drawn in sadness and woe
And a world painted white in colours of sorrow.
