Road Of Stones

Now I see the emptiness, as the gate begins to close
In the peoples faces around me, the children's eyes
The heart of stone
No idea what i've become, no clue who I really am
For all I care is what is mine, as in the darkness I
Weakly stand.

No pity for the dying, no remorse for the deceased
As the fight goes on and on, as I battle this eerie disease
Cold as ice my aching heart, stone kind my hollow mind
Lifeless as the autumn leaves, lingering on the morning shine.

The Morning Shine.

Sometimes I look up the sky with these eyes of glass
Sometimes I glance at my feet, and drop a tear of ash.

Cold as the clouds above, dark as the evernight
The eyes seeping agony, and the hatred deepdown in side
The coldness and the hopelessness, the leafless trees
The withred groves
All remind me of who I am, as I lay alone with my woe.
