Arctic Light

Here we rest in dreamless slumber
Anchored to something that I extol.

Over pristine immensity
Caught in an cyclopian vice
A doomed eternal destiny
A most ferocious guise.

Like a cold glaucomatous stare
Through this crystalline pathway
Ne'er lose our earthly heir
A crashing ethereal cascade.

This life, our punishment
An all-surrounding wintry gloom
Enswathed in nothingness
Stuck in an unsurpassable loop.

Arctic hysteria, spirit me away
I wish to leave your land
I wish to forget, I wish to die
Arctic light, shine on me
Lead me home, make me whole.

Oh cold white death, I am you

The sky ripples in an auroral dance
A last glimmer of hope
We gaze upon this vast expanse
