Darkness passing by, the war is over now
I'm the final one, it's time to go home.

Bloody was the fight, no one else survived
Everybody gave his best till he died
Alone I'll defend our families and friends
I've promised my wife: "I will return!"

I am grateful that I'm alive
Why did my friends have to die?
It won't take long and I will be home
Hard to tell I'm the only one.

The last farewell is long ago
