Maybe It's Time

Addiction, a danger, not only physical but also mental
It might not seem that you are doing yourself any harm
But you are, confusing fiction with reality
In your state of euphoria induced haze
You are not acting in your best interest
You are doing your pushers work
You spend your life being diligent and good.

Just so you can score more of this drug
You are a junkie but when you look in the mirror
That is not what you see
Lurking just below the surface
Is an unquenchable thirst
No one frowns upon your disease
Even though so many been killed
When you walk around all is well
But deep inside something horrible dwell.

I fear the addiction you hold so dear
So many carry the same defect
With so many variations sometimes it is hard to detect
There are a million ways to control the need
But sooner or later you will all need to feed
You force you sad state upon the young
And for many it is all to late
The addiction has been rooted so deep
It is impossible to make a new leap
What you are doing to your young is a disgrace
If what you abuse was any good
You would not have to get them when they are young
If what you contaminate your mind with was any good
Just getting your kick is not good enough
You want me to get in on the bluff
Get away, you sick disgrace.
