When oceans of words bring you down
Waves of hate try to make you drown
Pull yourself up your head up high
Hit them with laughter
Kill them with the smile.

I am not what's on the resume
Don't want the shortcuts
So if you wanna know who i am

Because my story goes way back
It hasn't been glitter and gold on my life
Hasn't been easy but no worry
I'm not about to bend to contrarily and broad of my history
Meet who i am now.

I've learned my lessons hard
I should never be careless and off-guard

But people get jealous and unkind

Well i really don't know what has gotten into their minds
Might be something i have that they want
So have the freedom to be who i am
