On Fragile Wings

On fragile wings we will carry this burden alone
Heaven won’t answer the questions that poison our souls
Time is the healer, a great deceiver, it hurts
Embers of fire remain from the glorious days
Solitude weeps like a child whose mother is lost
Tales we were taught about princess and dragons got old
Winters they came, erased all the sunbeams of light
Jaded and hollow, with blood on our hands now we cry

Alone, nowhere to go...
Alone, so far from home

Lost in the age of despair I will follow my path
The warmth of a smile, a secret engaged with my heart
Silence tells nothing but I hear the calls from above
Whispers of angels, illusions of unburied hope
Night unveils all the unknown martyrs of life
Some of them fall, others try, most await their demise
Mothers in black kneel and say farewell to their kings
As I go on with my journey on fragile wings
