One Last Voyage

As I gaze out over the misty sea
The waves gently lap at the shore
I breathe the sea air and remember old times
When these oceans once were my home.

But I know those times are long gone
My time is nearing its end
Only one more journey's in store for me
The waves are calling me home.

All my life I've sailed these oceans
Now death comes to set me free
To carry me off to a faraway land
Over the deep blue sea.

I once was a captain of a crew brave and bold
Feared across lands far and wide
The treasure we plundered then wasted away
Is a debt that I must now repay.

The many adventures we set out upon
Now are just distant memories
I raise the black flag one last time
And drink one last tankard of ale.

All my life I've sailed these oceans

So many men have died in my name
So much blood lies on my hands
My days of pillaging cannot be undone
Now at last my time has come round.

I set the sails for one last time
Chart one final course
