Ah-1, 2, 3, 4!
Six kids didn't know it was too late
Six kids didn't hear
Evacuate!

Suddenly the playground
Is a battlefield
Suddenly you're left
Without a sword and shield.

Suddenly America's at war
Against an ancient beast and you're
Right there 'cause no one rang the bell
Recess took a turn and went to hell.

Six kids frozen on the jungle gym
Six kids, it's you and him
And her, and her, and her, and him.

Suddenly the gunfire
Makes a wall of sound
And then one single noise breaks
That wall down!

Suddenly the giant monster's roar
Rumbles through the playground park and you're
So certain you don't stand a chance
Recess sucks and now you've peed your pants.

They shoot in the neck
And it collapses for a moment
Suddenly the soldiers brandish a giant blade
And slice the monster's head off
Blood spurts everywhere
The monster's eyes look lifeless and cold
The tongue hangs out of its mouth
The soldiers carry the severed head away.

Five kids, you see them
Wipe off drops of red
Five kids, bloodied
And the monster's dead
They look at you with horror in their eyes
This is what happens when your
Childhood dies!

Suddenly, you realize that you're
Covered head to toe in monster blood
Her neck, his eyes, and all of you
Recess made your skin a different hue.
