The White Fjord

On my steps to the North
Away from my lands
I knew that I had
My fate in my hands.

Surrounded by my demons
Companions of my life
From an endless darkness
I walked to find my Shire.

The sun had risen not high
My feet inside the snow
A few hours of daylight
The air was strong and cold.

The northern lights at night
Illuminated my path
The stars, like a thousand eyes
Watching me in the dark.

And finally Ι saw it
Revealing itself through the white fog
I’m in front of the Fjord
The throne of the Northern gods.

Ολόλευκο μπροστά μου, μαγευτικό κι απόκοσμο
Με τα νερά του παγωμένα σαν να σταμάτησε ο χρόνος
Δειλά επάνω πάτησα κι όταν στον πάγο στάθηκα
Θεός με μιας αισθάνθηκα.

Κι όταν το βλέμμα σήκωσα και είδα την ομορφιά του
Ο αέρας ψιθύρισε το όνομα μου κι ο πάγος σκίστηκε στα δυο
Μέσα του με πήρε και με κράτησε βαθιά
Κομμάτι του έγινα. Νεκρός μες το λευκό Φιόρδ.
