Apocalyptic Ignorance

Lost in my thoughts
Caressing words
Into infinity
Passing us all
It is too late
Why didn't you listen
Now suffer your ignorance
And watch us all burn.

Slowly, death sweeps the land
Ghostly silhouettes dance on our graves
Quietly singing their mournful songs
Bringing sorrow into our shackled hearts
Will this be the final end of our struggles?
A shameful ravine of our greatness
Frozen hearts feeling the final breath
As our lives and our world will be no more
No more!

But what is this light I see in my eyes?
This beautiful shape of a woman?
How can she be in here?
Where nothing, nothing can live.

The Deceiver:
"God heard your silent cries
I am here to free you
Just take my hand and follow me
And your lives will be spared".

But don't be fooled
By her beauty and innocence
The true freedom will come
It will come, it will come, it will.

Cry my children! For there is no more hope for any of us, anymore.
