Mourning Waters

I saw the great bird rise from the spectral ashes
I followed the trail of its wings, changing the course of my fate.

Opening the doors towards my freedom, shattering this confinement that binds me so.

I left the broken shell of her soul behind me
Her heart knows no peace until I have avenged her.

Its ghost-like wings like a beacon in the dark

I walked these mourning waters, wading through their cleansing tears
