The Beckoning Silence

Through solemn thoughts within my mind, that I could only hope to hide
A quiet place to contemplate the little joy that I have left
With nothing left for me to give, take my hands I can't forgive
A silence beckoning to me, release your grip and set me free.

And solemnly arise into a figure I, could never hope to be.

So as I write my final lines, of sadness trapped behind these eyes

I cannot take another day. The coldest touch to numb the pain
The silence beckons ever on, remove the shade that I've become.

Upon the hill dance the silhouettes, of reapers in the snow
