Once more I wake up
In the dead of the night
Nightmares that I have known for too long.

I long for an escape
Far from these lands
Were words have lost all their meaning.

The colour of skies
The smell of the grass
In this place for me is far too well known.

Where will I find a place to rest?
What more can I give to redeem my past?
Failures I bear in my soul like a cross of guilt.

Shall I give all that I’m left?
