The Sparrow Hawk

Demons in the mirror are envisioned lies
Specters from the floors await to haunt my mind
As a bird begins to scratch within its shell
I have yearned to break free and transcend this world.

Now fires of gnosis burn within
To sanctify what´s left a life beyond forsaken
Entombed in walls, this maze reminds me of what I ve Become.

Dreaming born in springtime, gripped in winter´s vice
Similar to the rodent´s toil, that frantic wander
Lightning strikes again, beyond the pane of glass
What refuge have i taken in this empty fortress?

As a bird begins to scratch within its shell
I have yearned to break free and transcend this world.

Devoid of life and reason I´ve come to make amends
This fragile glass shall shatter at my hands
The Shadows hide their faces, those lost in broken sight
Phlogiston´s scent will linger on tonight.

Divide the past
Still running from my demons though they cannot touch me
My time is nigh I´m here to fight
For I´ve grown far too restless for eternal slumber
And as I take this flame to set my world ablaze
My hollow blank fa ade twists round and writhes as fire illuminates my face
Is this the light of grace bleeding forth from hallow veins of life?
