Midnight tolling of the blackened bell
Dark shadows sounding the deepening
Ageing conifer embracing deep evil
Suffocating melancholy, down in the soul
The call of the forest sounds through
Walking the world of eternal black.

Lost in the maze the world created
Waiting for the call of nature to set me free
Sun blotted out by the canopy of trees
Natures breath blows through the leaves
I feel the caress on my skin, on my soul
I walk this world of shadows, surrounded.

Grey clouds cover the darkening heaven
Rain washing the earth clean, human scum fleeing
Lightning strikes the tolling blackened bell
Sounding the hour throughout the deep
I take no heed, surrounded by natures folk
Walking away, surrounded by dead trees.

As the darkness deepens over the forest
I make my way towards the deep waters within
Wading into the depths within, the deep blackness
As it falls over me, stare towards the abyss within
