Dreaming Of The Deep

Suffering through the madness of an inglorious unfateful wake
Untethering myself from a forgotten and relentless fate
To sink and drown
With no hope to be found

With my voice scattering into the winds of time.

Long forgotten
In silence
I wait.

The bleakness of this path I chose
brings drowning thoughts to mind
Although I live and breathe among the earth
I feel a yearning for something left behind.

There is a comfort to be found
When we fall into the sea
Among the wreckage and the brine
A different comfort comes to claim me.

And in this lonesome, solemn rain
I plunge... to escape my pain.

They saw
They saw the light
Deep within the hallowed and glowing brine
A darkness nay but a way of life
Within a tomb locked away from the hands of time.

Lay down your rusting dreams of old
And raise your hands in prayer
For the surface to behold.
