A harsh winter’s upon us
Lord, show us your Mercy!
The wee ones are starving
Our storehouses are empty

For the landlord, that bastard
He took six months’ grain
Three goats and our hog
For his own banquet table…

But in the dead of night
The wolf-man hears their cries…
